Summer Sunday School: Open Discussion of “Rebuilding Ministry.”

We’re excited about all that God is doing and is going to do through Trinity. We want to keep rebuilding the ministry that was flooded out by Hurricane Harvey. We’re asking God to use us to help people plug-in, connect and grow as believers.

This summer we’ll meet each Sunday for an open-ended discussion of the major aspects of ministry at Trinity, from Sunday School to home groups to preaching and worship. These discussions will take place during the Sunday School hour, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Check out the latest version of our 2018/2019 Ministry Plan online for a list of the ministries we’ll consider, and begin praying now that God would show us how to make these ministries effective.

There will be Summer Sunday School for children from pre-school to elementary age during these discussions. Using age appropriate materials from BibleBee, our kids will have the opportunity to learn and memorize some key portions of Scripture in a fun learning environment. If you would like to help with this class, please contact Gail DeGray.

We’ve also planned a very practical summer preaching series that will support our desire to rebuild ministry. It’s called “Counter-Cultural Character Qualities.” We will NOT be talking about politics or even much about cultural issues, but we WILL be talking about the ways believes can follow the Bible to stand out and bring light into our culture. We’ll talk about things like friendship and hospitality, wisdom and humility, generosity and moral courage and rest. Visit the website and click on the ‘against the flow’ banner.
