Annual "No Donations Accepted" Car Wash Just as Jesus washed the disciples' feet, we can wash our neighbors' cars. Join us to share the love of Jesus with our neighbors by serving refreshments, visiting with our guests, and washing cars. Jr. High Girls and Ladies Bible Study Schedules * Jr. High Girls Bible Study led by Bethany Reed for the Junior High Girls. She will be earning one of her Girl Scout Badges for leading and preparing this study. The study will begin February 13th and go until April 23. Contact Bethany Reed for more information. * The Wednesday evening study meets from 7 pm to 9 pm. * Thursday morning meets from 9:30 to 11:30 am. * There is also a group that meets on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. They are still meeting through December and you can join them at anytime. We are currently working through “Living by the Book”. New participants are welcome. You will be able to join at whatever point they are at in the book, as each chapter stands alone. Books are not available from the Women’s Ministry at this time, but you can purchase Living by the Book from any Christian bookstore. * A group of ladies are going to the Beth Moore study “Breaking Free”. This study is on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. It begins Jan. 8 and ends March 25. Beth Moore is teaching this study at Houston’s First Baptist Church. Fine Arts for Missions All proceeds go to the missionaries from the Bay Area going on Summer Missions Projects. The cost is $10 per family (extra donations welcome). Come enjoy dessert and a concert of student soloists while browsing the artwork of students. The program will be held here at Trinity. Slovakia Fundraiser Scrapbooking Event The Berreth's and the Trela's will be hosting this event to raise funds for the Slovakia trip this summer. The event is Saturday, April 26th from 8am to 5pm. Life Line Screening - April 18th Trinity will be hosting Memorial Hermann's Life Line Screening. They provide four tests in less than 1 hour for $129. These tests are: Stroke Screening/Carotid Artery; Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening; Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening: and Osteoporosis Screening. They do not file insurance so you will need to pay the fee for the screening. For more information you can pick up a pink flyer in the foyer. You must pre-register at 1-800-324-1851. Awana Grand Prix April 6th will be the last day to get your kit to make your pinewood cars. See Pat Oliver for your kit. Then the next Saturday, April 12th we will be off to the races. LIFE at Fiesta Texas - April 12th Sign-up is complete. The group will be meeting at the church at 7:00 am on Saturday. If you have signed up the remaining balance is due on Sunday, April 6th to pay for the food for the groups meals. If you paid $22, you will owe $18. We will meet for a couple of hours on Friday to pack up the vans for our Saturday morning departure. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are being provided. Information sheets are located in the LIFE Room. Christian Education Committee "Virtual Advisory Group" Seeks Members The Christian Education Committee is in the process of establishing a broad-based "Virtual Advisory Group" to provide input and counsel on CE issues. This will be done primarily through E-mails and blogs. Awana Directors and Sunday School Teachers will all be included, and we are actively seeking others who would like to advise the committee in a structured way. (Your thoughts and concerns are always welcome.) The commitment includes a willingness to respond to identified issues and survey questions via E-mail. You will also be invited to participate at a quarterly issues forum, the first of which will occur on Monday, October 8. You should know in advance that in this group, when you voice an opinion, you will not be obligated to "run with" that idea, head up, or implement the suggestion/idea yourself.
