Small Groups
"Doing Life Together"

It is our mission to 'do life together' in order to love one another and lift up the Savior.

Are you interested in being part of a small group? Our experience has shown that a small group is a great place to develop community, study the word, pray, and "do life together." If you think you might be interested in participating in a small group, please contact Iva at 281-482-0577.

Here are the times and places of each group currently meeting, and a contact person for each:

Friendswood , Wednesdays from 6-9 pm, led by Bob DeGray (281) 787-7130. Currently studying "Sacred Marriage" by Gary L. Thomas. Come at 6:00 for dinner. The study begins shortly after 7pm.

Dickinson, Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, at the Kittles' home. Frank Kittle (281) 337-4523. Currently studying the book of Hebrews.

Sagemont/Pearland, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, at the Kingry home. Gary Kingry (281) 481-1821. Currently doing a study that follows each Sunday's sermon.

League City, Thursday at 7:00 pm, at the Anderson home. Jeremy Anderson (281) 832-1521. Currently doing a study that follows each Sunday's sermon.

In addition, several of our Sunday morning classes function as small groups. See the list here

The key elements of small groups are:
-Community: loving and caring for one another
-Prayer: knowing each other's needs and praying for one another
-Study: challenging each other from God's word
-Ministry and Outreach: banding together to serve others and to share God's love in practical ways

Some of the ways we try to accomplish these things:
-Bringing food to the others who are sick
-Meeting others during the week for spiritual challenge and encouragement
-Calling each other to support each other
-Praying together in person or on the phone during the week
-Babysitting for one another
-Picking things up at the store for another
-Gently rebuking one another when we see sin
-Reaching out together to reach neighbors and friends with the gospel
-Asking for forgiveness and forgiving one another when we sin
-Doing fun things together
-Serving the church body in certain projects
-Birthing more small groups

General Format
Meetings:
take place at the homes of different members
usually include three meetings focused on study and prayer and a fourth focused on fellowship)
may include topical, doctrinal or expository (going through a book of the Bible) studies

If you are interested in helping implement this vision in some way, please call our main office at (281) 482-0577.
